Last weekend we went to The Oyster Festival in Long Island. We parked beside the Oyster Bay Firehouse and the firefighters manning the lot for the day were so sweet to the babies. Random, cute moment! Until Rose yanked the elastic on Kaan’s hat and it hit him in the eye. We did NOT take those hats home. Maybe in a few years…

So you enter the festival by walking down this street with typical festival food stands. When we got to the end of the street I thought that was it, but it was actually just a little appetizer to the huge festival area with live music and an entire arts and crafts festival inside the main festival. We ate yummy fried food and looked for ATMs.

Of course Kaan enjoyed the live music. He starts waving his hands and “dancing” as soon as he hears any genre of music. *Today at Central Park he was grinning ear-to-ear when a street violinist played Twinkle, Twinkle for him.* He just loves, loves, loves music. In the car on the way home, I saw him wake up, start moving his head to the music for 5 seconds and then fall right back asleep! Rose can also dance on cue. I just have to say, Rose are you dANcing?! And she starts dancing. The music was a little loud for the babies though. So, we spent most of our time in a nice little secluded area, playing with a ball I bought at one of the festival stands. The twins were so happy to play with the ball, but one in particular became obsessed. I’m sure you can guess which baby. He would not let that ball out of his sight. Best $6 I have ever spent!
